A tragic road accident claimed the life of a three-year-old girl near Ladowal Chowk in Ludhiana on Tuesday. The incident occurred when an e-rickshaw carrying the child and her family members was struck by a speeding private bus.
Details of the Accident
The e-rickshaw was traveling from Khajoor Chowk towards Phillaur. According to police, the bus was attempting to overtake the e-rickshaw from behind when its luggage box came loose and hit the e-rickshaw, causing it to overturn.
Victims and Injuries
The deceased has been identified as Gurseerat Kaur, a resident of Khajoor Chowk. She and her grandmother sustained injuries in the crash and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Gurseerat Kaur succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Police officials stated that statements from the family members are being recorded to ascertain the exact sequence of events. Further investigation is underway.
