Three youths found dead on railway tracks in Bokaro

Bokaro: The bodies of three youths were recovered from railway tracks near Lavatand, approximately 9 kilometers from Bokaro Steel City railway station, on Thursday. The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Bokaro suspects that the youths were fatally struck by a train while they were consuming alcohol near the tracks.

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred about 400 meters from the outer signal of Radhanagar railway station. The deceased have been identified as Bablu Soren, 19, a resident of Barki Punu village under Tikahara in the Gomia block of the district. The other two victims were identified as Deepak Soren, 20, and Baburam Murmu, 19, according to Amarendra Kotwari, a sub-inspector at GRP Bokaro.

Recovery and Investigation

The bodies were sent for postmortem examination. A motorcycle was also recovered near the site. Preliminary findings suggest that the three youths may have been struck by a train. However, the exact circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear.

Surjan Soren, brother of Deepak, stated, "It was around 7 pm on Wednesday when Deepak received a call and left home." The GRP said, "Investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of death and determine whether any other factors were involved."
