A search revealed that Badusha was carrying 1.8 kilograms of ganja. He was immediately arrested, marking the fourth apprehension in the police's anti-drug drive for the day.
Total Haul and Ongoing Efforts
The combined efforts of the Melapalayam and Palayamkottai police units led to a total seizure of 6.15 kilograms of ganja. The twin operations underscore the police department's active focus on curbing the drug trade within the city limits.
These arrests highlight the continued vigilance of the Tirunelveli police force against narcotics trafficking. The successful operations demonstrate a clear message that illegal drug activities will be met with strict legal action. Investigations are likely ongoing to uncover the source and distribution network of the seized contraband.
