Tirupati Man Strangles Wife and Mother, Flees with Children in Shocking Double Murder
A horrifying incident has shaken the community in Tirupati district, where a middle-aged man allegedly killed his wife and mother by strangling them with a dupatta before fleeing the scene with his two children. The crime was reported on Wednesday at Chakali Veedhi under Venkatakrishna Palem panchayat in Narayanavanam mandal.
Details of the Deceased and the Crime Scene
The victims have been identified as Harika, aged 30, and Chandrakala, aged 55. Harika was a local entrepreneur, running a tailoring shop and a beauty parlour, while Chandrakala was a housewife. Upon receiving the report, Narayanavanam police swiftly arrived at the crime scene and transported the bodies for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Accused Flees with Children, Police Launch Manhunt
The accused husband, Mohan, is reported to have left the location after committing the double murder, taking along his son, who is a ninth-class student, and his daughter, studying in class seven. In response, police have formed special teams to apprehend Mohan. Teams have been dispatched to the Pallipattu-Nagari area along the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border, following the tracking of Mohan's mobile signals to that region. The motive behind this brutal act remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the reasons.
