The train only stopped after a portion of the rake derailed, highlighting the severity of the impact.
Driver's Harrowing Account of the Incident
The SUV driver, Amardeep, recounted the terrifying moments leading up to the collision. He stated, "I had no time to react. I jumped out at the last moment to save my life. My car was completely destroyed in front of my eyes. Had there been even a slight delay, I would not have survived. There is a clear negligence on the part of the railway and rake management." His vehicle was completely damaged in the accident, but his timely escape prevented a potential tragedy.
