According to police reports, the deceased has been identified as T Paramasivam, a resident of Edamalaipatti Pudur. The incident took place on the road from the Aristo bridge towards Mannarpuram. Paramasivam was riding his motorcycle when a container lorry, driven by P Silambarasan, 27, from Ariyamangalam, collided with his bike.

The impact of the collision was severe, causing Paramasivam's motorcycle to subsequently hit another bike ridden by V Govindaraj, 53, also from Ariyamangalam. Paramasivam sustained critical head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was recovered by police and sent to Trichy Government Hospital for a postmortem examination.
