The victim, identified as S Nallammal, was standing on the left side of the road when the bus, driven by 34-year-old V Gokulraj, allegedly hit her due to rash and negligent driving. Eyewitnesses reported that the bus was proceeding along the service road at the time of the accident, leading to immediate chaos and concern among bystanders.
Nallammal sustained significant injuries to her left leg and was quickly rushed to the government hospital in Trichy for emergency medical treatment.
