Truck Crash on Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway Kills One, Injures Three

A tragic road accident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway has resulted in one fatality and left three individuals injured. The incident occurred near the SP Ring Road bridge on Saturday around 11:30 AM, when a speeding goods truck collided with a smaller lorry that was parked on the side of the road.

Details of the Accident

The victim, who lost his life, was seated in the cabin of the truck that caused the crash. Among the injured is the complainant, Kishansinh Makwana, a 29-year-old driver from Sabarkantha. Makwana was returning from Anand after delivering tiles when he noticed a problem with one of the front tyres of his vehicle. He had just pulled over to check the issue when the larger truck, allegedly traveling at high speed, rammed into his lorry from behind.

The impact was severe, pushing Makwana's vehicle into the divider and causing it to overturn. The goods truck also hit the divider and sustained significant damage. According to Makwana, there were three persons inside the cabin of the other vehicle. One of them suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot, while the driver and another occupant were injured. Makwana himself sustained injuries to his leg and waist.
