Truck Driver Fatally Struck by Speeding Motorcycle on Delhi-Jaipur Highway

A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 44-year-old truck driver in Gurgaon on Friday morning. The incident occurred at Panchgaon Chowk on the busy Delhi-Jaipur Highway (National Highway-48), where the victim was waiting for transportation when a high-speed motorcycle collided with him.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The deceased has been identified as Sarvesh, a resident of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. According to police reports, Sarvesh had arrived at Panchgaon Chowk around 6:30 AM via the KMP Expressway route. He had disembarked from a bus and was standing at the location, intending to travel towards Dharuhera.

At that moment, a motorcycle approaching from the Manesar side allegedly struck Sarvesh at considerable speed. The impact was severe, resulting in multiple fractures in both of Sarvesh's legs along with critical abdominal injuries. The motorcycle rider also fell during the collision and sustained injuries.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

The Bilaspur police station registered a complaint filed by Sarvesh's brother, Rinku Pal, who alleged that the rider was operating the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner. Eyewitnesses and passers-by immediately rushed the injured truck driver to Fortis Hospital in Manesar for emergency medical treatment.

Despite medical efforts, Sarvesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. Police authorities have initiated legal proceedings by registering a case under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Additionally, inquest proceedings have been commenced under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. As of the latest reports, the accused motorcycle rider has not yet been apprehended by law enforcement officials.
