Miraculous Escape as Tree and Barrier Halt Truck

The truck, which was transporting a load of rubble, veered out of control on the treacherous descent. Witnesses described a tense moment as the vehicle threatened to tumble down the hillside, potentially causing a major tragedy. However, a combination of a sturdy roadside tree and a protective barrier managed to stop the truck's downward momentum, causing it to turn on its side instead of plunging further.

"The unstable part had to be barricaded, and the road was reduced to a single lane for some time," explained another resident who preferred to remain anonymous.

Although the full width of the road near St Anne's Church was eventually reopened, accidents have continued to occur regularly. Residents point to the combination of the steep slope and sharp curve as the primary danger factors that haven't been adequately addressed in the road design.

Using heavy machinery, they managed to extract the truck driver who had become trapped inside the cabin.
