BHOPAL: The last rites of Twisha Sharma will be conducted in Bhopal at 5 pm on Sunday, her cousin Ashish Sharma confirmed. He stated that while the family initially considered transporting the mortal remains to Delhi, the decision was reversed due to the extreme heat and medical concerns.
Family's Decision to Hold Rites in Bhopal
"We wanted to perform the last rites in Delhi, but traveling such a distance in this heat is impractical. For medical reasons, it has been decided to conduct the rites in Bhopal. She will be given her final farewell at 5 pm today," Ashish Sharma told ANI.
Accusations Against In-Laws
Ashish Sharma further alleged, "They (Samarth's family) are responsible for this entire incident. If they come forward with honesty, they should state the facts clearly."
Second Post-Mortem Underway
His remarks came as a team of senior doctors from AIIMS conducted a second post-mortem on Twisha Sharma, following directives from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The family expressed confidence in the ongoing process. Twisha's father, Navnidhi Sharma, earlier expressed hope for a fair and unbiased examination. Her brother, Major Harshit Sharma, also emphasized the family's expectation of transparency from the medical board.
