Journalists Attacked While Covering Late-Night Gathering

Two individuals have been taken into custody by Gurgaon police for allegedly physically assaulting two YouTube content creators and stealing their possessions. The disturbing incident occurred when the journalists visited a combined liquor store and party venue located on Golf Course Extension Road to document what they believed to be an unauthorized gathering.

Morning Raid Turns Violent

The confrontation unfolded around 7:30 AM on November 22 when the video journalists arrived at Ha Cha in Sector 49 to investigate reports of illegal party activities. According to the formal complaint filed with authorities, the assailants not only attacked the YouTubers but also confiscated their identification documents and caused significant damage to their vehicles.

Police officials revealed that the primary suspects, identified as Sukhvendra from Charkhi-Dadri and Gaurav Taneja from Rohtak, have concerning criminal backgrounds. Sukhvendra has connections to the high-profile murder case of BJP leader Sonali Phogat in Goa, while Taneja already faces previous assault charges.

Confession and Previous Arrests

During interrogation, both men admitted to attacking the journalists after discovering they were recording footage of the party activities. This confession adds to the growing evidence against the accused.

Earlier on the same day, three additional individuals were taken into custody, including the establishment's manager, Sonu Kumar, along with two security personnel named Anand and Lalit. With these latest arrests, the total number of people detained in connection with this case has reached five.

Law enforcement authorities confirmed that Sukhvendra and Taneja will be presented before the court on Tuesday to face formal charges. The case has been officially registered at the Sector 50 police station and continues to be under active investigation as police work to uncover all details surrounding the violent encounter.
