Bhilwara Police Makes Arrests in Grisly Forest Murder Case
In a significant development, police in Bhilwara district have arrested two individuals on Thursday in connection with the alleged murder of a man whose body was discovered in a forested area near a cremation ground. The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, occurred in the Phuliyakala police station jurisdiction and was reported on January 26.
Discovery of the Body and Initial Investigation
According to official police statements, authorities received critical information on January 26 regarding a body found in the forest along the Khamor Kalyanpur road. Promptly responding to the alert, Phuliyakala station in-charge Rajendra Singh arrived at the scene to initiate preliminary investigations. The deceased was later identified as Radheshyam, a resident of Rajyas village, marking a tragic loss for his family and neighbors.
Following the discovery, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was deployed to the crime scene to meticulously collect evidence, ensuring a thorough examination of the area. Police officials then transferred the body to the mortuary at Phuliyakala hospital, where a post-mortem was conducted to determine the cause of death. After completing these formalities, the body was respectfully handed over to Radheshyam's grieving family members for last rites.
Complaint and Legal Action
The case took a decisive turn when Murli Bawri, the brother of the deceased, filed a detailed report with the police. In his complaint, Bawri alleged that Radheshyam succumbed to severe injuries inflicted during a brutal assault. He specifically accused Rampal, the victim's maternal uncle, along with other family members, of collectively beating Radheshyam and ultimately causing his death.
Based on this report, police registered a formal case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), reflecting the gravity of the alleged crime. To expedite the investigation, different teams were formed under the supervision of Shahpura Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Arya, demonstrating a coordinated effort to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Arrests and Ongoing Probe
After a diligent investigation, police confirmed the arrest of the accused individuals. ASP Rajesh Arya disclosed that the arrested suspects include Rampal, a resident of Kalyanpura Khamor, and Naresh, who hails from Bhagwanpura (Panotiya). Their apprehension marks a crucial step in the legal process, though police have indicated that the investigation remains active to uncover further details and potential motives behind the alleged murder.
