Gurugram police have arrested two individuals in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 28-year-old company employee. The victim, identified as Ravi Kumar, worked at a private firm in the city. He was abducted on the evening of March 15 while returning home from work.
Details of the Crime
According to police officials, the accused—identified as Sandeep and Manoj—had planned the kidnapping for several days. They targeted Ravi Kumar, believing his family could afford a substantial ransom. The duo intercepted him near his residence, forced him into a car, and drove him to a secluded location.
Ransom Demand and Murder
The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the victim's family. However, during a scuffle, Ravi Kumar was strangled to death. The accused then dumped his body in a canal in the neighboring district to evade detection.
Investigation and Arrest
A missing person complaint was filed by the family, leading to a thorough investigation. Police tracked the accused through mobile phone records and CCTV footage. Sandeep and Manoj were arrested from their hideout in Haryana. They have been charged with kidnapping, murder, and destruction of evidence.
