Two Arrested for Robbing Senior Citizen in Vadodara

The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) in Vadodara arrested two men on Wednesday for allegedly robbing a senior citizen near Amitnagar Circle. The incident occurred two days prior when the victim was walking along the main road. Two accused on a two-wheeler approached him, and one brandished a knife, stealing two gold rings before fleeing.

Investigation and Arrest

Following a complaint at the Karelibaug police station, the DCB launched an investigation. A tip-off led to the identification of the suspects, Vishal Bhati and Karan Bhati. They were subsequently arrested. During interrogation, the duo confessed to selling the stolen rings to a man named Rahul for Rs 1.60 lakh.

Recovery of Stolen Items

Police recovered Rs 64,000 in cash from the accused, along with their mobile phones and the two-wheeler used in the crime. Further investigation is ongoing to trace the buyer and recover the rings.
