In a swift operation, the Arunachal Pradesh Police have successfully apprehended two individuals in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from the Banderdewa area. The authorities have also managed to recover the stolen two-wheeler.
Timeline of the Theft and Arrest
The incident of the motorcycle theft was reported to have occurred between 9 pm and 10 pm on Thursday. Following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR), a formal case was registered at the Banderdewa Police Station. The case was filed under the relevant section of the law, Section 303 (2) BNS.
Acting on the complaint, a police team initiated an investigation. Their efforts led them to trace the location of the stolen motorcycle to Harmutti in the neighbouring state of Assam.
The Police Operation and Capture
A special team was formed under the leadership of Banderdewa Police Station officer in-charge, Inspector Kipa Hamak. This team moved to Harmutti to intercept the suspects and recover the vehicle.
The operation culminated in the arrest of the two accused at Basbari, Harmutti. The police caught Jubber Ali (27) and Faridul Islam (28) red-handed as they were attempting to flee the scene. At the time of their capture, the duo was using the stolen motorcycle along with another two-wheeler.

The successful operation resulted in the recovery of the stolen motorcycle. Naharlagun Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rishi Longdo confirmed the details of the arrest and recovery on Friday.
