A tragic road accident in Dhule district claimed the lives of two young brothers on Tuesday evening. The fatal incident occurred in Shirpur taluka when the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a dumper truck.

Details of the Tragic Incident

The victims have been identified as Nakul Chaudhary (24) and Harshad Chaudhary (22). Both were residents of Amoda village in Shirpur. According to police reports, the brothers had travelled to Chopda taluka in the neighbouring Jalgaon district on their motorcycle to collect their school certificates.

Assistant Inspector Shatrughna Patil of the Thalner police station provided details of the crash. The brothers were returning to Shirpur at around 5:30 PM when the accident took place near Bhorkheda village on the Chopda-Shirpur road.

How the Accident Unfolded

"The two brothers were riding parallel to the dumper truck on its left side," explained Assistant Inspector Patil. "Suddenly, the truck driver turned towards Thalner Phata. The brothers came under the tyres of the truck and were killed on the spot."

In a callous act, the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the collision, abandoning his vehicle at the location. The police have since seized the truck as part of their investigation.

Police Action and Investigation

The Thalner police have registered a formal case against the unidentified truck driver. The case has been filed under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death due to negligence.

Authorities are actively searching for the driver who committed the hit-and-run. The investigation is ongoing as police work to apprehend the individual responsible for this devastating loss of life.
