Tragic Collision Claims Lives of Two Young Farmers

In a heartbreaking incident late on Saturday night, two farmers lost their lives in a road accident in Pilibhit district. The victims, identified as Sewa Ram, 28, and Arvind Kumar, 32, were friends traveling on a motorcycle when the tragedy struck.

The fatal collision occurred near Govalpatiputra village on the Bareilly–Bisalpur road around 11 pm. According to preliminary reports, their bike collided with an unidentified vehicle, which then fled the scene.

Details of the Fatal Accident

Alerted by passing commuters, police rushed to the accident spot. Both men were rushed to the Bisalpur community health centre, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Investigating officer, SHO Sanjeev Shukla, stated that fresh wheel marks at the location suggest the unidentified vehicle involved may have been a pick-up mini truck. He added that the families of the deceased were unaware of their late-night travel to Bisalpur.

The Pilibhit police have launched a thorough investigation into this tragic hit-and-run case. Key steps in the probe include:
