Dumka: Two individuals have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in an attempted murder using an illegal firearm within the jurisdiction of Hiranpur police station in Pakur district, authorities confirmed on Thursday. The incident dates back to May 19.

Details of the Incident

According to a statement released by Pakur Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh, the complainant, Kapildev Mandal, accused Sandeep Mandal, a resident of Gopalpur village, of trying to shoot him with the intent to kill following a verbal altercation and physical assault. Kapildev narrowly escaped death when the bullet became lodged inside Sandeep's gun and failed to discharge. Law enforcement sources indicated that the murder attempt stemmed from an ongoing feud between the parties.
