The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Jaskaran Singh, a resident of Behram village, and Gurlal Singh, from Rajpur Khurd village. During preliminary interrogations conducted by the Nawanshahr police, the accused reportedly confessed to their sinister plan.
Their alleged motive was to commit the murder of a person identified as Ravinder Singh, also known as Ravi Kala, who resides in Behram village.
