Acting on a specific tip-off regarding the transportation of contraband, a police team from the Mani Majra police station set up a strategic checkpoint. The surveillance was focused on the area surrounding the Chandigarh railway station. Their vigilance paid off when they intercepted a Honda Activa scooter carrying two men who appeared suspicious.
The individuals were identified as Sonu, alias Kala, and Ankit, both hailing from Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh. Upon searching their vehicle, the police made the discovery. The seized items included 48 bottles of IMFL, which were being transported illegally, and a small plastic pouch containing 10 grams of heroin.
