Two killed, 16 injured in bus-truck crash in Mahendragarh

Two persons were killed and 16 others sustained injuries in a road accident on National Highway 152-D near Mahendragarh on Friday morning. The incident occurred when a tourist bus traveling from Manali to Jaipur collided with a truck near Buchawas village in Mahendragarh district.

Details of the Accident

The bus driver, identified as Sombir, and the conductor, Dilsukh, both residents of Rajasthan, lost their lives in the crash. The injured passengers were promptly taken to the Mahendragarh Civil Hospital with assistance from local residents.

Officials Visit the Site

Mahendragarh Deputy Commissioner Anupama Anjali visited the civil hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured. District Superintendent of Police Deepak also inspected the accident site and later met with the injured at the hospital. He stated that the matter is being examined from all angles and statements from the injured are being recorded. The responsible person(s) will be arrested soon, he added.

Legal Action

A case has been registered under Sections 106, 125(a), and 281 of the BNS against an unidentified truck driver based on a complaint filed by Mukesh, the elder brother of the deceased driver. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the collision.
