A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two individuals on Sunday evening near Batlagundu in Dindigul district. The victims, both aged 60, were riding a two-wheeler when a speeding car collided with them, resulting in immediate fatalities.

The deceased have been identified as Alagumalai, a resident of Muthulapuram, and his relative Muniyandi, from Poosaripatti. They were traveling from Muthulapuram to Batlagundu on their motorcycle. As they approached Batlagundu, a car coming from the Sempatti direction lost control and violently crashed into their two-wheeler.
Both men sustained severe head injuries in the impact and were pronounced dead at the scene before any medical assistance could reach them. The force of the collision was so intense that it left the vehicles mangled, exacerbating the chaos on the road.
