In the first incident, a 25-year-old carpenter named Amit Kumar was found dead in his room. A resident of Faidan village, Amit was discovered hanging by his own brother on Sunday morning. The discovery prompted an immediate call to the authorities.
The Sector 31 police station responded and has seized his mobile phone as part of the investigation. Officers are currently recording statements from family and acquaintances to piece together the circumstances and ascertain the possible cause behind this extreme step. His body has been kept at GMCH-32 (Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32) for a post-mortem examination.

The second case involved another 25-year-old man, identified only as Neeraj, from the Maloya area. His life ended late on Saturday night when his younger brother found him hanging at their home.
Despite being rushed to GMSH-16 (Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16), he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors. Police officials indicated that Neeraj struggled with alcoholism and had been living with his brothers since losing his parents several years ago. The Maloya police have registered a case and his body is also awaiting autopsy at a hospital facility.
