Two More Senior Bihar IPS Officers Join Central Deputation Roster

In a significant development from Patna, two additional senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Bihar have been selected for central deputation this month, continuing a trend of state officers taking up key positions in central agencies.

CRPF Gains Two Experienced Officers

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), 2011-batch IPS officer Ashish Bharti, who holds the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), has been deputed to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). In a notable arrangement, Sapna G Meshram of the same batch and rank has also been assigned to the CRPF. Interestingly, she is the spouse of Ashish Bharti, marking a unique professional pairing in central deputation.

Their deputation is subject to obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the state government, a standard procedural requirement that ensures smooth administrative transitions.

Intelligence Bureau Welcomes Another Bihar Officer

The third officer from Bihar to secure central deputation is Gaurav Mangla of the 2013 batch. He has been deputed to the Intelligence Bureau (IB), one of India's premier internal intelligence agencies. This assignment highlights the growing trust in Bihar cadre officers for sensitive national security roles.

Recent Central Deputations from Bihar

This latest development follows a series of similar deputations earlier this month. On January 6, the Bihar government relieved 2004-batch officer Vinay Kumar, who subsequently joined as the Inspector General (IG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on deputation.

Earlier, on January 13, the MHA notified 2010-batch officer Rajeev Mishra as the DIG in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on a deputation basis. Additionally, Daljeet Singh of the 2007 batch has been notified as IG in the Border Security Force (BSF), further expanding the presence of Bihar IPS officers in central paramilitary forces.

Senior Appointment in Human Rights Commission

In another notable appointment, the MHA on January 15 notified Anupama Nilekar Chandra of the 1994 batch, who currently serves as Special Director General in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), as Director General (I) in the National Human Rights Commission. This move underscores the diverse roles that Bihar cadre officers are taking on at the national level.

These deputations reflect a broader pattern of experienced Bihar IPS officers being tapped for critical positions in central agencies, contributing to national security and administrative frameworks while bringing regional expertise to the forefront.
