Two Separate Murders in Amravati Linked to Minor Disputes

Amravati witnessed a tense day on Wednesday as the police department was kept on high alert following two separate murder incidents. Authorities confirmed that both killings resulted from disputes over seemingly trivial matters, highlighting the volatile nature of such conflicts.

First Murder: Stabbing Near Liquor Bar in Rajapeth

In the first case, Shubham Thakre, a 30-year-old resident, was brutally stabbed to death near a liquor bar located in the Rajapeth area of Amravati. The incident occurred during a drinking session that turned violent.

According to police reports, a quarrel erupted between Thakre and the accused, Anup Pande, aged 41. The argument escalated rapidly, leading Pande to attack Thakre with a small knife, resulting in fatal injuries.

The police response was swift and effective. A crime branch team, under the leadership of Police Inspector Sandeep Chavan, launched an immediate investigation. Within just six hours of the crime, they successfully apprehended Anup Pande.

Pande, who originally hails from Dapori Khurd in Teosa, was residing in Swastik Nagar at the time of the incident. His quick arrest demonstrates the efficiency of the local law enforcement in handling such grave offenses.

Second Murder: Fatal Fight Over Food in Bhatkuli

In a separate and equally tragic incident, Jitendra Gaud lost his life in Bhatkuli after a dispute over food spiraled out of control. The altercation began as a minor disagreement but quickly turned violent, culminating in a deadly attack.

Relatives of the victim disclosed that the argument escalated into a physical fight, during which the accused assaulted Gaud with a sharp weapon, leading to his death. The identity of the accused has not been fully disclosed by authorities at this time.

Currently, the suspect is undergoing medical treatment at the District General Hospital in Amravati. Police officials have confirmed that he is under constant surveillance at the hospital and will be formally arrested once his treatment is complete. This precautionary measure ensures that the accused remains in custody while receiving necessary medical care.

Police Response and Ongoing Investigations

The Amravati police department has been actively managing both cases, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining law and order in the city. The rapid arrest in the first murder case underscores their proactive approach, while the second case remains under close watch with pending arrest procedures.

These incidents serve as a stark reminder of how minor disputes can escalate into fatal violence, prompting calls for community awareness and conflict resolution. The police continue to investigate the motives and circumstances surrounding both murders to ensure justice is served.
