Indore witnessed two separate stabbing incidents on Monday night, prompting police to file First Information Reports (FIRs) against several individuals in the Tilak Nagar and Azad Nagar localities. The incidents involved violent clashes that left multiple victims injured.
Tilak Nagar Incident
In the Tilak Nagar area, a violent clash broke out where two youths were allegedly attacked with knives and stones. The Tilak Nagar police registered an FIR against Pawan, Ayush Verma, Chhotu, and their associates. According to a complaint lodged by Vishal Solanki, a resident of Shrinadha Colony, he was confronted by Ayush Verma late at night. Vishal alleged that Ayush was intoxicated and began abusing him. During the altercation, Pawan also arrived at the scene. Police reported that Ayush allegedly attacked Vishal with a knife, injuring his leg, while Pawan assaulted him with a sharp-edged weapon. Chhotu allegedly joined the assault and attacked the victim with stones. Nikhil, who attempted to intervene and stop the fight, was also assaulted during the clash. The accused later fled from the spot. Police have medically examined the injured and initiated an investigation into the incident.
Azad Nagar Incident
In the Azad Nagar area, a youth was allegedly stabbed following an argument involving his father. Based on a complaint by Ajay Bachania, police registered a case against Anurag, a resident of Palda Chowk, along with Shiva and Vijay. Police stated that the dispute began after an argument between the accused and Ajay's father Ramesh on Monday night. The verbal altercation later escalated into violence, during which Ajay was allegedly attacked with a knife. Authorities are investigating the matter and searching for the suspects.
Both incidents have raised concerns about public safety in the city. Police have assured that strict action will be taken against the perpetrators. Further details are awaited as investigations continue.
