The grim discovery was made around 9 pm on the roadside connecting Panautha and Janakpur villages, located within the Ishanagar police station area. The two deceased were identified as 19-year-old Surendra Yadav and 18-year-old Santosh Kori, both hailing from Gaharwar village.

Officials noted that the bodies were lying approximately 20 paces apart from each other. At the scene, investigators found several crucial pieces of evidence, including:
