Two youths sustained bullet injuries in a firing incident that occurred in the Gandhi Nagar area of Kurukshetra on Sunday. The injured individuals have been identified as Aman, a resident of Kirti Nagar, and Prince, a resident of Gandhi Nagar. Both are in their twenties.
Incident Details
According to available information, at around 3:30 am, the accused arrived in a black SUV near Rotary Chowk and fired multiple rounds at the victims. Aman sustained two gunshot injuries, while Prince suffered one. They were initially taken to LNJP Civil Hospital and later transferred to a private hospital for advanced treatment.
Accused Attempt to Flee
After the shooting, the accused attempted to escape in their vehicle but were forced to abandon it when the SUV plunged into a drain. Despite this, they managed to flee the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving the information, police officials and the crime team arrived at the scene and began their investigation. Authorities recovered five empty cartridges from the location and impounded the SUV for further examination. A case has been registered based on Prince's complaint against Rahul, Tony, and three other individuals.
Statement from DSP
DSP (Headquarters) Sunil Kumar, who visited the spot, stated, 'We received information about a firing incident at 3:30 am in which two youths were injured by bullets. The victims had an old enmity with the accused. Both Aman and Rahul have past cases registered against them. The exact reason behind their enmity will become clear once the accused are apprehended. Efforts are underway to nab the suspects.'
