Tragic Death in Udupi: Woman Succumbs to Injuries After Alleged Domestic Assault
A tragic incident of alleged domestic violence has culminated in the death of a woman in Udupi district, Karnataka. The victim, identified as Geetha, passed away on Monday after sustaining critical injuries in an assault by her husband, Sunil Kumar, aged 44, at Nooral Bettu village in Karkala taluk.

According to police reports, the assault occurred on January 27, around 9:50 AM, following a dispute over family issues. During the altercation, Kumar allegedly attacked Geetha with a weapon, striking her on the forehead and cheek, which resulted in severe bleeding injuries. Geetha was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where she received intensive care in the ICU. Medical examinations revealed devastating injuries, including multiple fractures in her chest and severe internal damage to the abdomen. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, she did not respond to treatment and ultimately succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
