Gurgaon: The body of an unidentified man was discovered inside a concrete cable pipe on a vacant plot in Badshapur on Sunday morning, with severe injuries to his face and strangulation marks on his neck, police said.

Police received a call regarding the body around 8:30 am on Sunday. A preliminary investigation suggests it is a murder case. The deceased's face was smashed with a stone, possibly to prevent identification. Stones covered with blood were found near the site. The victim is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old.
Investigation Underway
Police suspect the victim was killed by strangulation and then the body was dumped in the vacant plot. The body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause and time of death. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from roads and establishments near the area to trace the victim's movements and identify suspects or vehicles involved in dumping the body.
Missing persons records from Gurgaon and nearby districts are also being checked to establish the victim's identity. An officer stated that an FIR will be registered after further investigation. "We are trying to identify the deceased, after which the family will need to be traced," he added.
