Uttar Pradesh Government Orders Transfer of Seven IPS Officers in Administrative Reshuffle
The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday implemented a minor administrative reshuffle, ordering the transfer and posting of seven Indian Police Service officers across various districts and headquarters. This move represents a strategic adjustment in the state's police leadership structure.
Key Transfers and Postings Announced
Brijesh Kumar Singh, who was previously serving as the senior superintendent of police in Badaun district, has been transferred and posted as superintendent of police (logistics) at the Uttar Pradesh Police headquarters in Lucknow. This represents a significant shift from district-level command to a headquarters logistics role.
He will be replaced by Ankita Sharma, who was earlier serving as superintendent of police in Kasganj district and has now been appointed as the new SSP of Badaun. This appointment marks an important career progression for Sharma within the Uttar Pradesh police hierarchy.
Additional Administrative Changes
In another key administrative change, Anup Kumar Singh, who was posted as superintendent of police in Fatehpur, has been transferred and attached to the office of the director general of police at the Uttar Pradesh police headquarters in Lucknow.
Following this move, Abhimanyu Manglik, who was serving as superintendent of police in Bhadohi, has been posted as the new SP of Fatehpur. He will be replaced by Abhinav Tyagi, who was earlier serving as additional superintendent of police (city) in Gorakhpur.
Further Personnel Adjustments
Meanwhile, Om Prakash Singh, who was posted as SP (logistics) in Lucknow, has been transferred to Kasganj as superintendent of police, effectively replacing Ankita Sharma in that position.
Nimish Dashrath Patil, who was serving as additional deputy commissioner of police in the Ghaziabad police commissionerate, has been posted as additional superintendent of police (city) in Gorakhpur, filling the position vacated by Abhinav Tyagi.
Administrative Implications
This administrative reshuffle affects multiple districts across Uttar Pradesh including Badaun, Kasganj, Fatehpur, Bhadohi, and Gorakhpur, along with adjustments at the state police headquarters in Lucknow. The transfers represent routine administrative adjustments within the Uttar Pradesh police department aimed at optimizing personnel deployment and administrative efficiency.
The changes come as part of ongoing administrative management within the state's law enforcement apparatus, with officers being reassigned to new roles and responsibilities across different regions of Uttar Pradesh.
