Police in Uttar Pradesh have made a shocking arrest in Shamli district, where a man stands accused of murdering his wife and their two young daughters before concealing their bodies within the confines of his own home. The gruesome incident, which occurred in Ghari Daulat village under the Kandhla police station area, has sent shockwaves through the local community.
A Crime Concealed for Days
The tragic events unfolded on 10 December, but the horrifying truth only came to light on the evening of Tuesday, 17 December. The accused, identified by authorities as Mohd Farukh, allegedly carried out the triple murder and then proceeded to live normally for several days, with the victims' remains buried in a pit inside the house. This prolonged concealment delayed the discovery of the crime.
Details of the Heinous Act
According to the police investigation, the trigger for the violence was reportedly an argument after Farukh's wife went out without wearing her hijab. In a fit of rage, Farukh is said to have shot his wife while she was preparing tea at home. When their 12-year-old daughter tried to intervene, she was also shot. The couple's five-year-old daughter was reportedly strangled. Following the killings, Farukh buried all three bodies inside the house.
Aftermath and Police Response
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to the killings. Once the crime was discovered, members of the victims' family staged a protest and attempted to confront Farukh, which required police intervention to control the situation. The Kandhla police have tightened security in Ghari Daulat village and deployed additional personnel to prevent any further unrest. The case highlights a severe instance of domestic violence and has raised serious concerns in the region.
