The incident occurred around 5 PM on Saturday evening. The accused teenager visited Naitik's house in Mohalla Kahran Bajariya and took him for a bike ride. Police stated that the two were engaged in shooting a reel with an airgun when the loaded weapon accidentally discharged. Preliminary investigations suggest the shot struck Naitik by mistake, after which the accused fled the scene out of fear.
After being shot, Naitik managed to return home, where his shocked family immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Shahjahanpur. He was later shifted to a health facility in Bareilly for further treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

SSP Sahajahanpur Rajesh Dwivedi commented on the case, stating, "Exact circumstances leading to the firing incident are under investigation."
