A brutal murder stemming from a personal rivalry has shocked the Indalwai area of Nizamabad. A 35-year-old truck driver from Uttar Pradesh was bludgeoned to death by a group of four other drivers on Tuesday evening.
Fatal Attack at a Tea Stop
The victim, identified as Md Salman, a native of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, met his tragic end at around 5:30 pm on Tuesday. The incident occurred after Salman and his brother had stopped their truck to have tea at an HP petrol pump near Dev Tanda in Indalwai.
According to the Nizamabad police, a group of four assailants who were following Salman in another truck pulled up nearby. Without any provocation, they launched a vicious assault on Salman using iron rods.
Brother Flees, Victim Succumbs to Injuries
Salman's brother managed to flee the spot to escape the attackers. However, Salman was not as fortunate. He collapsed on the spot itself, having sustained a severe head injury. He was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The four accused, identified as Md Ahmed, Md Hasan, Md Idril, and Md Kaif, immediately fled the scene in their truck after the attack. In an attempt to evade capture, they abandoned their vehicle a few kilometres away from the crime scene and absconded.
