UPSC Shortlists Three Senior IPS Officers for Telangana DGP Position

- CV Anand (1991 batch IPS officer): Currently serving as the Special Chief Secretary (Home) in Telangana, Anand brings a wealth of experience to the table. He is widely regarded as the front-runner for the DGP position, having previously held the prestigious roles of Commissioner of Police for both Hyderabad and Cyberabad. His extensive on-ground experience in urban policing makes him a strong contender.
- Vinayak Prabhakar Apte (1994 batch IPS officer): Apte is presently serving as the Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). - Soumya Mishra (1994 batch IPS officer): Mishra is currently the Director General of Prisons in Telangana.
