SOG Arrests Fake Doctor in Vadodara Clinic Raid, Seizes Medical Equipment
Vadodara: SOG Arrests Man for Practicing Medicine Without Degree

Vadodara Police Crack Down on Medical Fraud

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Vadodara police conducted a decisive raid on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of a man accused of practicing medicine without holding any legitimate medical qualifications. This operation highlights ongoing concerns about unlicensed medical practitioners operating within the city.

Clinic Raid Uncovers Illegal Medical Practice

Acting on a specific tip-off received by authorities, the SOG targeted a clinic located in the Gajrawadi area of Vadodara. Police intelligence indicated that the individual, identified as Dhaval Kawad, had been managing the clinic and administering allopathic treatments for several years without proper certification.

During the raid, officers confronted Kawad and formally requested him to present his medical degree and other relevant qualifications. When he was unable to produce any valid documentation confirming his right to practice medicine, the SOG immediately took him into custody for further investigation.

Extensive Seizure of Medical Supplies

The police operation led to the confiscation of a substantial quantity of medical items from the clinic. Among the seized materials were various allopathic medicines, including multiple antibiotics, cough syrups, and intravenous glucose bottles. Additionally, authorities recovered professional medical equipment such as a stethoscope and a nebulizer, which Kawad had been using in his unauthorized practice.

This seizure underscores the potential risks posed by unqualified individuals handling prescription drugs and medical devices, which could have serious implications for patient safety and public health.

Ongoing Investigation and Background Details

Dhaval Kawad, originally a native of Bhavnagar, is currently under intensive questioning by the SOG. Police are working to determine the full extent of his activities, including whether he has been involved in similar fraudulent practices in the past or operated from other locations.

The Vadodara police have emphasized that this case is part of broader efforts to curb illegal medical practices and protect citizens from unlicensed healthcare providers. They urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious medical establishments to the authorities.
