A 16-year-old boy from Vadodara caused a serious multi-vehicle accident in the Karelibaug area late Monday night, injuring three people after ramming his father's car into three two-wheelers and a tempo. The incident occurred near the Amitnagar Circle flyover, highlighting ongoing concerns about rash driving in the city.

According to police officials, the teenager was driving his father's car at an excessively high speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The sequence of events began with the car colliding with a motorbike, followed by a second two-wheeler, before finally crashing into a tempo under the flyover. This reckless driving resulted in injuries to three individuals, who were promptly attended to following the crash.

Police have registered a formal case against the minor for over-speeding and rash driving. Before law enforcement arrived at the scene, local residents reportedly confronted the boy, roughing him up and causing damage to the car. The teenager, a resident of Harni, was subsequently taken into police custody.
During questioning, the boy revealed that he had taken his father's car without informing his mother, intending to go out for ice cream. S V Vasava, inspector at Harni police station, confirmed that an FIR has been filed and that the boy's parents will be called in for further questioning regarding the incident.
