During the altercation, Venkatesh was brutally stabbed to death, while his cousin, B Santhosh, sustained severe injuries after being attacked with a hammer.

Investigations have revealed that P Anil, a resident of Venkojipalem, had a history of criminal activities, leading to his expulsion from Vizag city due to repeated offences. He had been residing in Ranasthalam, Srikakulam district, prior to the attack.
