Navy Technician Confesses to Grisly Murder and Dismemberment in Visakhapatnam
In a shocking crime that has rattled Visakhapatnam, a 35-year-old Naval employee brutally murdered a 29-year-old woman at his residence, dismembered her body, and stored parts in a refrigerator. The incident occurred in LV Nagar under the jurisdiction of the Gajuwaka police station in Vizag city.
Accused Surrenders, Revealing Horrific Details
The crime came to light after the accused, identified as Ch Ravindra, surrendered to the police and confessed to the murder. Ravindra, a Navy technician and native of Rajam in Vizianagaram district, was married but had developed an affair with the victim, Mounika, a resident of Vizag city.
According to police reports, Ravindra's wife had left for her hometown in Vizianagaram a few weeks prior, leaving him alone in the house. On Sunday afternoon, March 29, Mounika visited Ravindra's house after receiving a phone call from him. The couple spent several hours together, but a violent argument erupted in the evening.
Gruesome Act of Violence and Concealment
In a fit of rage, Ravindra stabbed Mounika to death. He then proceeded to dismember her body in a gruesome attempt to conceal the crime. Police stated that Ravindra packed some of the body parts in a bag, traveled to an isolated location, and destroyed them. Meanwhile, he stored other parts in his refrigerator at home.
After the act, Ravindra went to the police station, where he confessed to the crime and surrendered. Officers immediately responded, recovering some of the body parts from his residence. However, the victim's head was missing, leading authorities to suspect that Ravindra disposed of it elsewhere.
