Warangal Police Crack Sensational Triple Murder Case, Arrest 10 Accused

In a major breakthrough, Warangal police have successfully cracked a horrific case involving the murder of a pregnant woman and her two young daughters. Police Commissioner Sunpreeth Singh announced on Friday that authorities have arrested 10 individuals and launched a manhunt for two absconding doctors connected to the crime.

Brutal Crime Unfolds on April 1

The triple murder occurred on April 1 in Punnelu village, located on the outskirts of Warangal city under Inavolu mandal. Following the shocking incident, Commissioner Singh constituted special investigation teams to expedite the probe into the deaths of the pregnant woman and her daughters.

During the investigation, police uncovered a disturbing chain of events involving illegal sex determination and abortion procedures. The main accused, Md. Azaruddin, confessed during interrogation that medical shop owner Satla Raju of Punnelu village had suggested abortion after repeated requests, though Raju refused to approach a hospital directly.

Medical Professionals Implicated in Crime

Azaruddin then contacted RMO Dr. L. Naresh and lab technician Manohar for advice. Based on their recommendations, Azaruddin and his wife Farhath visited Suraksha Hospital in Kazipet, where Dr. S. Ravali and nurse Sravanthi allegedly took Farhath to Neekonda for an illegal sex determination test.

Subsequently, at Dr. Purnima Upender Hospital, abortion was suggested and carried out. This revelation has exposed a network of medical professionals allegedly involved in illegal practices.

Arrests Made Across Multiple Categories

Police have made arrests across several categories of individuals involved in the case:

  • Azaruddin's family members: Chanda Pasha, Md. Saleha, and M. Sharoddin
  • Paramedical staff: Sravanthi, Manohar, Naresh, and V. Bhadru
  • Medical shop owner: Satla Raju
  • Doctor: Dr. B. Parthu

Two women doctors, Dr. B. Purnima and Dr. S. Ravali, remain absconding as police intensify their search efforts.

Disturbing Motive and Execution Revealed

During the investigation, police uncovered that Azaruddin had allegedly duped a minor girl and proposed marriage to her. When the girl's parents refused, citing that he already had two children and his wife was pregnant with a third, Azaruddin became frustrated and allegedly planned to eliminate his family.

The execution of the crime was meticulously planned and brutally carried out. Azaruddin disconnected CCTV cameras and cut off the power supply at his farmhouse. He then took his wife and two daughters to the farmhouse swimming pool, where he pushed them into the water and held them under until they died.

After confirming their deaths, he allegedly staged the incident as an accidental drowning following his daughter's birthday celebration.

Investigation Progress and Legal Proceedings

The victim's father, Sk. Ali, initially lodged a complaint suspecting foul play. Police registered a case of suspicious death, but during the investigation uncovered the extensive involvement of multiple accused, including doctors and paramedical staff.

All arrested individuals have been produced before a court, and police continue their efforts to trace the two absconding doctors. Additionally, a case under the POCSO Act has been registered against Azaruddin for allegedly influencing a minor girl for marriage.

Commissioner Singh emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to bring all involved parties to justice in this complex case that has shocked the Warangal community.
