A 45-year-old woman from Hanspura, Naroda, who runs a small business, was on the verge of taking her own life after a minor argument with her husband over preparing food. The dispute, though small, felt overwhelming, and she decided to leave home. Before walking out, she posted what she believed were her final words as her WhatsApp status: "Sorry everyone ND goodbye." For her son, she wrote a more personal message: "Bye beta miss u, khush rehje, mane maaf karje."
Son's Quick Action
Her son saw the status and immediately understood the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, he called his father and then the police control room. Naroda police swiftly traced her mobile signal, which was still active. Technical surveillance tracked her first to the Khodiyar temple, then to another temple in the area.
Rescue and Recovery
Officers and family rushed to the location and found her alone but alive. On seeing her son approach, the woman fainted. She was taken to the hospital, where she regained consciousness with her family by her side. Police provided counseling before she returned home.
Police Inspector C V Nayak praised the son's alertness, stating, "The boy saw his mother's status message, understood the gravity, and called police without delay. Through technical surveillance, we traced her location." The incident highlights the importance of family vigilance and timely intervention in preventing tragedies.
