A land partition dispute within a family turned violent in Azam Nagar village under the Kampil police station area of Farrukhabad on Saturday night, when a 65-year-old woman was shot and seriously injured. Anita Devi, wife of Kashmir Singh and a resident of Azam Nagar village, was attacked late Saturday night. Relatives alleged that her own family members targeted her over a long-standing land partition dispute.

According to reports, Anita Devi was first taken to the Kaimganj Community Health Centre, where she received primary treatment. Due to her critical condition, she was later referred to Lohia Hospital for advanced care. Her son, Karan Singh, stated that the land partition dispute had been ongoing for several years and escalated over the past three days. He claimed that the police were informed about the situation but failed to take effective action.
