Woman in Misrod Accuses Son's Father-in-Law of Rape and Extortion Scheme
A 45-year-old woman working as a security guard in Misrod, Bhopal, has filed a serious complaint with local police, accusing her son's father-in-law of rape and involvement in an extortion plot. The case has shocked the community and prompted an immediate police investigation.
Allegations of Prolonged Sexual Assault
The woman alleges that the 50-year-old accused, who also works as a security guard, has been sexually assaulting her for approximately eight months. According to her complaint, the accused exploited her vulnerable situation—her husband is currently incarcerated in a kidnapping case—to establish physical relations with her.
The accused allegedly told her that her husband would never be released from jail and pressured her to marry him, promising better employment opportunities. This manipulation continued over several months, with the woman describing a pattern of coercion and abuse.
Escalation to Extortion Demands
The situation took a more sinister turn when the accused began demanding financial benefits from the woman's earnings. He insisted she give him a share of the money she was earning from her security job, further tightening his control over her.
The most alarming development occurred when the accused pressured her to fabricate a dispute with the owner of the security agency where she works. He instructed her to falsely implicate her employer under the Atrocities Act as part of an extortion scheme to extract money.
Police Complaint and Investigation
When the woman refused to participate in this fraudulent plot, the accused became angry and threatened her. This prompted her to approach Misrod police on Wednesday, where she filed a detailed complaint about both the sexual assaults and the extortion demands.
Police have registered a formal rape case and launched a hunt to apprehend the accused. Investigators confirmed that the woman works for a private security agency and came into contact with the accused through her son's marriage arrangements. The accused, whose wife has passed away, is the father of her daughter-in-law.
