A 26-year-old woman in Nagpur has accused her 21-year-old stepson of repeatedly raping her over several months, alleging that she is now four months pregnant as a result of the assaults.
Complaint Filed at Mankapur Police Station
According to police officials, the survivor filed a formal complaint at the Mankapur Police Station on May 5. In her statement, she alleged that the accused forcibly had sexual relations with her multiple times at their shared residence between November 18, 2025, and May 5. The woman claimed that the incidents occurred when she was alone with the stepson.
Previous Allegations Against Husband and In-Laws
Police further disclosed that the woman had earlier filed a separate case against her husband and his family members, accusing them of subjecting her to mental and physical torture. That case is currently under investigation.
Legal Action Taken
A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rape. The accused has not been arrested yet, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have recorded the survivor's detailed statement, documented her claim of being four months pregnant, and examined the alleged crime scene for evidence.
Police are awaiting medical reports to corroborate the pregnancy claim and are conducting further inquiries. The stepson has not been traced, and efforts are underway to locate him.
