Woman Allegedly Beaten to Death by Husband and In-Laws in Bihar Village

A shocking incident of domestic violence has come to light in Bihar's Vaishali district, where a 27-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband and in-laws. The tragic event occurred on Thursday at Biropur village under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station.

Details of the Incident

The deceased has been identified as Anu Kumari, wife of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Biropur village. According to police reports, the incident reportedly stemmed from a minor altercation after Anu slapped her four-year-old son over a petty issue. This action allegedly provoked her husband and other family members, leading to a brutal assault that resulted in her death.

Anu's father, Subodh Kumar Mishra, revealed that his daughter had called him late on Wednesday evening, complaining about being assaulted by her husband and in-laws following the incident with her son. "The next morning, a local resident informed me about my daughter's death. When we reached Biropur village, we found Anu's body lying on a sofa, and her in-laws had fled," he stated, adding that Anu had been married for five years.
