PALGHAR: A 27-year-old woman was critically injured after she was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon in broad daylight in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The incident took place near the Gold Cinema area around 6:30 pm on Friday, according to multiple reports.
Victim Identified
The victim, identified as Snehal Sawant, was living in rented accommodation near the spot. CCTV footage from the area showed the accused allegedly stabbing her more than five times. According to preliminary information, the accused attacked Sawant on her neck and waist before fleeing the scene.
Injuries and Hospitalization
Sawant sustained serious injuries and was immediately taken to hospital for treatment. Reports indicate that police suspect the attack may have been linked to a personal dispute.
Investigation Underway
