Woman Dies, Man Critical After Consuming Poison in Bulandshahr Hotel

Meerut: A tragic incident unfolded in Sikandrabad town of Bulandshahr district on Wednesday, where a woman died and a man remains in critical condition after the two allegedly consumed poison in a hotel room, police said.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the two individuals, both residents of the Jarcha police station area in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district, were in a relationship.

Hotel operator Arun stated that the couple arrived at the hotel around 10 am. The incident came to light when a housekeeping staff member, who had gone to clean the room, found the woman lying motionless beside the bed. "After being informed, I went to the room and initially thought she might be asleep or unwell. When she did not respond, I immediately alerted the police through Dial 112," he said.
