BENGALURU: A 22-year-old woman was found dead and her boyfriend was discovered unconscious inside her rented house on Magadi Main Road in Bengaluru’s Byadarahalli area on Friday. The deceased, identified as S Bhavani, worked as a billing assistant at a nearby mobile showroom. Her father, Srinivas, approached the Byadarahalli police and alleged that his daughter was murdered.
Relationship and Family Opposition
According to Srinivas’s complaint, Bhavani was in a relationship with Chandrashekhar, also known as Chandu. After learning about their relationship, the family decided to arrange her marriage to another man of their choice. Srinivas stated that the family visited Bhavani once a week.
Discovery of the Incident
On Friday morning, a relative shared a social media picture of Bhavani with Chandrashekhar. Following this, Srinivas attempted to call his daughter multiple times. When she did not respond, the family alerted the house owner. The landlord reportedly found the door locked from inside and received no response. Police were informed, and they broke open the door, where they found Bhavani and Chandrashekhar lying on the floor. While Bhavani was dead, Chandrashekhar was found unconscious and was rushed for treatment.
Allegations and Investigation
In his complaint, Srinivas accused Chandrashekhar of killing his daughter and mentioned that Bhavani had earlier told him that the man was allegedly threatening her. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
