Woman Found Dead in Rourkela, Husband Accused

Rourkela: A woman was discovered dead at her residence under the Raghunathpalli police station limits on Monday. The deceased, identified as Sabita Singh (41), resided at Ruptola alongside her husband Rabindra Bahadur (45).

Brother Files FIR Accusing Husband

Her brother, Khirod Singh, lodged a First Information Report alleging that Sabita was murdered by Rabindra. In his complaint, Khirod claimed that Rabindra frequently quarrelled with her and that the couple had a fight on Sunday night. He accused Rabindra of assaulting Sabita and causing her death.

Police Investigation Underway

Police sources stated that they received information about Sabita's death on Monday morning. Subsequently, a team recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of death and verify the allegations made by the brother.
